Five-Year Strategic Plan for Kisumu Disabled Self-Help Group (KIDSEG)

This plan ensures that KIDSEG achieves its mission and vision through focused, sustainable action steps while emphasizing community partnership and measurable impact.

Mission Statement:
KIDSEG aims to empower girls and women with disabilities across Western Kenya to reach their full potential through improved health, education, and economic participation.

Vision:
We envision communities where every girl and woman, regardless of ability, enjoys equal rights, respect, and access to essential services for wellbeing.

 

Strategic Goals and Initiatives

Goal 1: Promote Equal Access to Health and Reproductive Rights

Initiative 1.1: Conduct awareness campaigns to educate communities on the health and reproductive rights of disabled women and girls.

Timeline: Year 1-2

Responsible Parties: Health and Advocacy Coordinators

Measurable Outcomes: 20% increase in awareness among community members; reduced incidence of discrimination cases in healthcare settings.

Initiative 1.2: Develop partnerships with healthcare providers to offer accessible and inclusive health services.

Timeline: Year 1-5
